Neston Over 50s Swimming Club

If you’re 50 years or over and enjoy mixed ability social swimming with friends of a similar age or if you just want to get back into the water,  join us at Neston Recreation Centre, Raby Park Road, Neston CH64 9NQ, on Mondays and Fridays from 3.15 to 4 pm (except during school holidays).  You can just turn up from 3 pm and join on the spot.

During the closure of the Recreation Centre for refurbishment we are visiting other venues.  Ring 0151 336 3675 for details

We have exclusive use of the pool during our sessions the general public is not admitted, and there are facilities for people with disability (or just creaky joints) for changing and getting in and out of the water.

Members get to know each other and enjoy occasional lunches together as well as short walks. It costs only £10 a year plus £2.00 per session. For a Membership Pack e-mail or call Robin Hughes on 0151 336 3675.

Neston Over 50s Swimming Club was founded in 1984 (as the Golden Age Swimming Club) when Neston Recreation Centre won a NW Sports Council award as part of a campaign promoting ‘Sport for All at 50+’ and called a meeting of interested local residents. This voluntary club has operated twice-weekly social swimming sessions ever since and has recently extended its activities to include more social events. It is unique being the only sports organisation in Neston specifically for older people.
