Neston’s Friday Market was pleased to welcome back its non-essential traders following ‘lockdown#2’ on Friday 4th December. The added bonus was that this was also the Friday Christmas Market.
Cllr Pat Kynaston presented the trader of the year 2020 award to The Great British Bakehouse.
The Great British Bakehouse, a local business, have been a regular trader at the market for many years. The business owner Shane Mellor has always been very supportive and eager to give good advice, gained from experience, to the market team. We are delighted to award him with the title.
Val of Bluebonnet Sweets, a huge Disney fan, was thanked for the wonderful job she does in running the market Facebook page with a gift from The Council & Market team.
The Mayor of Neston, Cllr Christine Warner and the Deputy Mayor, Cllr Steve Wastell, judged and presented the prizes for the ‘Most Festive Stall’ to The Cheese Counter and the ‘Best Christmas Fancy Dress’ to Geoff of F S & S Supplies.
The weather was sadly not kind to us however a chilly but festive day was had by all.
Don’t forget that our last market of the year will be on TUESDAY 22nd December from 8.00am until 2.00pm. Please join us for your fresh produce for the big day and an ideal opportunity for some last minute gifts.
