We are pleased to report that the recent Summer Market was a great success with positive feedback from both traders and shoppers. The weather was very kind to us which boosted visitor numbers, after a run of really awful Friday weather over the past few months.
Unfortunately, our regular coffee van trader was not able to attend but luckily Elephant Coffee, who have a mobile drinks van were able to step in. We hope that other local businesses will come forward with proposals for our future special events, please contact us and we would be happy to discuss this further. *

Following on from the success of the Summer Market Neston Town Council are launching ‘Foodie Friday’ for the last Friday of each month. However, due to our special event markets the ‘Foodie Friday’ dates for the remainder of this year are as follows:
Friday 27th September – Our first Foodie Friday
Friday 1st November – Halloween Market (details TBC)
Friday 6th December – Christmas Market (again details TBC).
Foodie Friday will then resume in January 2020 and we propose to hold these on the last Friday of each month.
On each Foodie Friday the market basement food hall will be filled with our artisan food traders with products such as fresh fish, Guernsey yoghurt, Alpine cheeses, preserves, local sausages, gourmet tinned fish, gelato, honey and artisan bakery products to name but a few. The photo’s below show some of the enthusiastic traders who are regularly in our food hall and joined us at the Summer Market.
Tiresford Guernsey Gold yogurt and Golden brie
Larkton Hall cheese
The gourmet tinned fish market
Chilly Stuff gelato
Neston’s Four Acre Farm – Pork sausages and burgers
Nova bakery products
On each Foodie Friday, and some of our weekly Friday markets, you will find a range of international traders and street food traders selling delicious products such as onion bhaji or halloumi wraps, tex mex, Lebanese food, Greek cookies, American style bakes, The Great British Bakehouse, artisan bakery products from a Welsh bakery and also our coffee van trader out on the Market Square, alongside our fantastic regular Friday Market traders, of which we have had new additions.
The Bhaji Box Wraps and take home curries
We will still have some artisan traders in our food hall alongside our regular fresh fish stall and deli counter on other weeks during the month but the emphasis will be on the Foodie Friday date each month. Why don’t you come and take a look? This will be an ideal opportunity to stock up on some tasty extra special treats once a month. We hope to see you there!
