Northern Lights: Exploring the Work of Scandinavian authors

A W.E.A. course starting Wednesday 27th September for 10 weeks.

Tutor: Angela Hamblett

Enrol online or at first session.

Free to anyone on an income-related benefit.

This course will explore a range of work by Scandinavian authors, including novels, short stories and drama, written between 1888 and 2003 which will examine the cultural, historical and social concerns of the periods in which they were written. Authors and work will include Per Petterson’s Out Stealing Horses, Arto Paasilinna’s The Year of the Hare, Knut Hamsun’s Hunger, Isak Dinesen’s Babette’s Feast and August Strindberg’s Miss Julie.
