Neston Town Council delivers Neston Area Guide
Residents throughout the CH64 postcode area will soon find a copy of the brand new Area Guide from Neston Town Council dropping through their letter boxes.
Produced in partnership with CAN Group (Community Activities in Neston), the publication aims to provide residents with as comprehensive a guide as possible to the services and facilities available to them locally.
As the Town Council’s area of responsibility does not encompass all of the CH64 area, additional funding has been provided by Cheshire West and Chester Ward Councillors from their Members Budgets to allow for the inclusion of the Burton and Willaston listings.
Cllr Martin Barker, Mayor of Neston said: “The area is fortunate to be home to a wide variety of clubs, organisations and services.”
“Neston Town Council is keen to support the activities of all these groups, and to help local residents find the contact information they need.”
CAN Group Project Managers Eileen Miller and Zaria Shreef added: “Publicity was launched at the beginning of the year to invite groups and organisations to submit their details. When people realised that we are a community group working with Neston Town Council, they were very supportive, especially knowing we could help promote their group for free!
“The details included in the Guide were checked as much as possible, and we send a big thank you to our volunteers, Jessica and Estelle, who made numerous calls and emails to make sure we’d got our facts right.
“The number of groups and organisations listed in the Guide is a real eye-opener for the CH64 area – highlighting that there are so many opportunities to be active in our community. We tried our best to make sure we included everyone, but if there are any non-profit groups who feel they should be in the Guide, they can contact CAN on 0151 353 8638 or email@example.com and we’ll ensure they go into any future editions”
As well as organising a comprehensive mailing of the Guide to homes throughout the area, the Town Council will have copies on their stand at the Neston Village Fair on Saturday 2nd July, after which some further copies will be available from the Town Council office.
