Neston is a historic market town in Cheshire, and Parkgate is Cheshire’s only “seaside resort”! Latest news:

  • The Town Council wishes to appoint suitable volunteers to fill three vacant seats on the Neston Neighbourhood Plan Monitoring Group which advises and assists with medium to long-term plans for housing, employment, transport, outdoor leisure, heritage and environment.
  • This year we will be holding our Halloween Market on Friday 26th October.
  • Having held the franchise for rail travel in Wales and the Welsh Borders since 2003, Arriva Trains Wales will be handing over control on 14th October 2018 to French-Spanish firm KeolisAmey, which will trade under the banner of Transport for Wales Rail Services (TfW). While changes will not be immediate, passengers will see the red and white colours of the new company and can look forward to some welcome changes in the next few years according to the Chair of the Town’s Transport Working Group Dr Phil Lloyd, who attended a transport briefing in Llandudno on 9 October.
  • Neston Town Council was concerned to hear of the sudden withdrawal of the 22 bus service to and from Chester that occurred today, 5th October 2018, as a result of the provider ceasing to trade.
  • Members of Neston Town Council, plus its officers and advisors, met key officers and three of the local Cheshire West and Chester members for a discussion about the issues and priorities for transport and traffic in the town. Local MP Justin Madders was also represented at the meeting.
