Friends of Burton Manor

A registered charity set up in 1985 to support the College. Our activities are directed at increasing public awareness of Burton Manor and its work and organising events whose proceeds finance gifts and benefits for the College.

Funds raised by the Friends and 100+ Club have been used to benefit the College in several ways. Among these are lighting to the terrace; refurbishment of accommodation; redecoration of the entrance porch; renovation of chairs in the lounge; an LCD projector (plus updated replacement, improved TV provision and other items outside the day-to-day budget. This year, in the form of a competition, donations of £900 were given to each of the four departments within the College for essential improvement to their service.

Functions organised by the Friends make use of the catering and other services of the College and thereby help to support its income.
