Because this post code includes all the villages surrounding Neston: Little Neston, Ness, Willaston, Burton and Parkgate; as well as places you don't hear so much about such as Leighton, Hinderton and Ness Holt. Putting them all in our title would have made for a pretty cumbersome mouthful! What counts as Neston has actually changed a good deal over the years, once including places like Raby, Thornton Hough and Ledsham, for example. However, we believe that the boundary of the old Neston Urban District Council, abolished in 1974, remains meaningful today. What does the 'inc' stand for? Well, anything you like, but we think it sounds dynamic, reflecting our intention to do something with and for local people to make CH64 a better place to live.

The Future
We are currently preparing a forward strategy for the area which will take forward the objectives of the NMTI (which ended in March 2008) in partnership with the town council for Neston, local organisations and public authorities. The area faces major changes in local government and other public services which could present great opportunities. As a first step ch64inc has prepared a response to the Ellesmere Port and Neston Core Strategy for the Local development Framework (LDF), highlighting the key issues facing the area in the future. Our response can be seen by clicking on the following link.
